Box Office Power: Top 25 Movies of 2008
Even though there are awards galore, and that amorphous notion of what's hot and what's not, when it comes to Hollywood, there's always one thing that everyone has to know about -- money. So while our last Power of Film feature detailed what the top films of 2008 were according to our users, our newest list takes a look at the hard, solid facts of Box Office Power: The Top 25 Movies of 2008. Not surprisingly, you'll probably figure out what the highest-grossing flick is, but the top 25 for last year showcase a few surprises, and we'll tell you which ones were the unexpected hits and which movies performed below expectations, complete with box office grades. View the entire list of movies, the second entry in our revolving feature on "The Power of Film", sponsored by Acura.

Buy "Dexter": Season One on Blu-ray
Dexter America's favorite serial killer goes hi-def with the Blu-ray release of "Dexter": Season One. Dexter Morgan (Golden Globe nominee Michael C. Hall) is a man who leads a double life as an incredibly likeable forensics expert for the Miami Police Department and as an emotionless vigilante serial killer. Taught by his foster father to harness his lust for blood and killing, Dexter lives by his own strict moral code -- he only kills murderers who can't otherwise be brought to justice. The three-disc Blu-ray release of season one includes all 12 episodes plus BD Live features including the featurettes "The Academy of Blood - A Killer Course" and "Witnessed In Blood - A True Murder Investigation", a Michael C. Hall podcast and the first episode of the third season of "Dexter". Buy it on Blu-ray, available now.
